Access conditions to the WWMI Qualification Scheme - Ποιοί μπορούν να παρακολουθήσουν το πρόγραμμα:

Welding consumables and welded materials

  • Identification of production and/or expiring dates
  • Monitoring of storage and handling of welding consumables & status identification
  • Monitoring of storage and handling of welded materials / finished products & status identification

Identification and traceability of welding activities

  • Traceability of welder and welding operators to specific welds.
  • Traceability of welding procedure specifications to specific welds.

Witness Inspection during welding Processes – Pipe Mill Inspection

  • Joint preparation overview (dimensions control, shape conditions)
  • Overview of suitability of working conditions for welding, including the environment.
  • Visual inspection (for completeness of welding, weld dimensions, shape)
  • Quality Records completion of all activities required by specifications
  • Witness of tests implementation and recording of results
  • Monitoring and Recording of related quality control equipment
  • Comparison of welding process parameters to the authorized inspection plan requirements
  • Reporting and Signing
  • Documentation Review

Witness Welding Inspection Activities – Welders Certification

  • Monitoring and recording preparation for welders qualification specimens
  • Identification of test coupons, welders, process, methods and materials, during welders qualification
  • Monitoring and recording the parameters of welding according to the standards / requirements
  • Visual Inspection
  • Test Coupons delivery to the Laboratory
  • Physical presence during the testing in Laboratory premises
  • Reporting and Signing
  • Documentation Review

Witness Manufacturing Inspection Activities – Field / Shop Inspection

  • Monitoring and recording preparation for execution of acceptance tests according specifications
  • Identification of products / material to be tested and inspected
  • Documentation Review before testing execution
  • Monitoring and Recording the parameters of testing process, according to the standards / requirements / ITP’s
  • Physical presence during the testing in Field / Shop premises
  • Reporting and Signing
  • Documentation Review after completion of testing procedure

 

The education structure:

The Welding Greek Institute (WGI) offers an innovative and specialised short-term training program, recognised and accredited by major Welding Institutes and accepted by the international market, the Witness Welding & Manufacturing Inspector.

The program will be implemented in blended learning (e-learning and in-class) or exclusively on e-learning. The instructors of the program are Qualified Welding Engineers, Industry Executives, Welding Inspectors and Engineers with extensive experience.

The duration of the training program, is two (2) weeks.

 

Teaching is divided into 7 chapters::

Chapter 1: Intro to Quality

Chapter 2: Intro Auditing and Inspection

Chapter 3: QMS structure

Chapter 4: Destructive Tests

Chapter 5: NDT (VT, UT, RT, reporting etc.)

Chapter 6: Inspection Test Plans

Chapter 7: Health and Safety

 

E-Exams (online) - Certification WSTAR

At the end of the training, it takes place three (3) hours Written E-examination, including all syllabus topics.

After successfully passing the examination, candidates will be recognised as Qualified Witness & Manufacturing Welding Inspectors, absolutely fulfilling the requirements of the standards as stated in the purpose of education.

After 3 years work experience in connection with the subject or an existing service, the Qualified Witness Welding & Manufacturing Inspector will have the opportunity be certified and participate in the Registry of the Welding Greek Institute for Certified Welding Inspectors with international recognition.

Minimum Educational Grade: High School graduates or 09 Years basic education, with 3 Years of Experience.

Minimum Professional Training:  Witness Welding & Manufacturing Inspector

Examination Required for Personnel Qualification:  Written Exam
