Who we are
Welding Greek Institute [WGI], a non-profit organization, was founded in 2007 and is a full member and exclusive technical associate of the:
International Institute Of Welding (IIW).
European Federation of Welding, Joining And Cutting (EWF).
International Authorization Board (IAB).
It is the only l Recognised Authorized Body of the above International Organizations in Greece, for:
Personnel Qualification / Authorized Nominated Body -ANB-
ISO 3834 Metallic Cnstruction Certificate/Authorized Nominated Body For Companies Certification- ANBCC-.
In addition, it has recently been authorized by the International Additive Manufacturing Qualification System – IAMQS – ANB / Metal 3D Printing, becoming the 6th authorized organization in Europe.

It is the largest national network and centre of reference centre for welding and other related processes, acting as an agent for science and new technology applications.
In the framework of networking and knowledge exchange between scientists, researchers, industry and Academic community to disseminate critical information and best practices, at national and international level highlights:

Facilities
Welding Greek Institute is located in Elefsina, Attica, at the junction of Trapezountos and Digeni Akrita streets. It has:
Classrooms with a simultaneous capacity of 160 people.
Amphitheatre of 100 seated audience.
Virtual Welding equipment.
Metalworking Laboratory / Machine Work Shop.
Welding Laboratory with capacity of 24 welders for simultaneous training in all methods and metal materials.
Modern training and certification workshop for welders for Polyethylene (PE) pipes in cooperation with EDA Attica.
