The Welding Greek Institute participated in the International Welders Competition, for Welders up to 23 years old, held in the context of the World Exhibition “Welding and Cutting” in Essen, Germany. The organization was undertaken by the DVS – German Welding Institute with the participation of teams from 13 countries.
Our country was represented by:
- Pantos Christos for the MMA method, 22 years old.
- Vangelis Goga for the MAG method, aged 21.
- Antonis Koskinas for the TIG method, aged 21.
And they are the first Greek Participation in a World Welding competition.
Our welders were judged in an individual competition as well as in a group essay welding, and came eighth in the overall European ranking.
